So Tzvia why did you choose this course?Well I wanted to get a job as a PA or secretary in an administrative environment and I thought this course would provide me with the right skills to do this. I have always been good at organising and enjoy interaction with people so this course builds on my existing strengths. |
How have you found the course?I have really enjoyed it. I have had to work hard and it has been challenging but it is delivered in such a structured way that I have been able to progress quickly. In fact I am really please that I have finished a big Diploma in a little over 3 months. This would have taken much longer studying by other methods or at night school. I am also really proud of the fact that I have gained a Distinction. |
Would you do it again? Most definitely. I have gained a lot of new knowledge and practical skills that are invaluable in the workplace. I have already got a job and my Diploma played a big part in my successful employment. |

| So Helena, why did you choose this course? Having been made redundant in November 2007, I was introduced to Dave Addy at Pitman Training through a consultancy group brought in by my company to help with the future. Dave explained the different types of Diploma on offer, and having already decided that I wanted to return to PA based work, I chose the Executive PA Diploma as it combined not only Microsoft Office, but also the core skills required by a PA. I wanted this Diploma to be a fresh start for me as my previous role was in training' and to get a new job as a PA I realised I needed something extra on my CV to entice employers to give me an interview and the Diploma has certainly been a good talking point at intervies. How have you found the course so far? I have found it really interesting and challenging. The work-books and audio learning make the process very easy and structured, and you can always come away from time at the Centre feeling like you've achieved something, no matter how small. The best part has been that I am already putting into practice much of my training in my current role which is precisely what I had hoped to achieve. Would you do it again? Redundancy can create negativity in your own abilitites, but this course has enabled me to increase my confidence in my own ability and expand my knowledge and skills and that in turn has given me the opportunity to gain the new position I have now, and along with the new skills I have learned the time and effort has been well worth it. |
Isobel Robinson - Business IT Diploma with PR & Marketing |
| So Isobel, why did you choose this course? I liked the broad range of subjects covered. I wanted a course with variety but I was also very interested in studying PR so this Diploma had an ideal combination of subjects. I am looking to get a better job and wanted to gain new skills to help me with that process so i decided to study for a Diploma with Pitman Training. |
| How have you found the course so far? This is a big course and it's taken some hard work, effort and energy to complete it. I am on my last module and having obtained mostly Distinctions in the other modules my overall Diploma will be graded as a distinction. I have found the self-paced learning approach really good and have been able to re-do some bits of the course when I felt it appropriate. I have learned an a great deal. |
| Would you do it again? Definitely Yes! It has built up my confidence and I am confident that having a distinction in my Pitman Diploma on my CV will give me an advantage when looking for jobs. |
